What's good everyone? Just checking in to say hey. All is well on my front. The family is doing great and school is going great too. Thanks to all of you who continued in prayer for me and my family. I just copped a new digital camera this afternoon. It's a Canon S5 IS. Only cost me $315 and was well worth the price. I was thinking about getting one of the Canon SLR's but I'm not that advanced in photography just yet. So the S5 IS suited me just fine. It has great focus capabilities, and I'm actually looking into getting an adapter so I can attach all kinds of lenses. If you are looking to get into photography, the S5 IS is a great start. A little more complicated than your average point and shoot cameras, but versatile to stand up to some of the SLR cameras. Here's a couple of the first few snapshots. They turned out really great. Well, school is half way over and I've made it very successfully so far. Praise God for straight A's and the want to do even better. The LORD has been opening up a lot of doors for me and I am so grateful for Him even thinking about me. I purchased Logic Studio 8 last week, courtesy of some good advice from my good friends Nar8ta and Unseen. These guys are some dope engineers in the lab, but more importantly, they are solid brothers in the faith. They have helped me tremendously, especially in these last 3 weeks, in really cultivating my own sound on the boards. I am truly grateful to those guys. Keep me lifted as I try to add the title "engineer" to my resume. But all in all, the beats are still coming and God still remains faithful. I will be uploading some new tracks in the next week. What's good peoples? I know it's been a while, but as I stated before I just started school in January. I had been out of school for almost 5 years, so getting back into the flow had me nervous for a while. But praise the Father for blessing a brother to attain all A's half way through the semester. God bless good brothers and sisters in the faith! I just got out of classes for the day, getting ready to get down on some personal Bible study. Once again, I praise and worship God for the grace He has bestowed upon this sinner's life. On February 12, shai linne drops his second solo LP ,courtesy of Lampmode Recordings, entitled "The Atonement". In this current state of HHH, we are slowly losing the balance between entertainment and the teaching of the Gospel. As of right now, it's extremely weighted down on the entertainment side. So it only seems appropriate that the time is now for some meaty Gospel lyricism and adoration for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Enter "The Atonement". From front to back, this album is packed with Christ centered goodness that we as HHH followers have been missing for a little while. As christians, we sometimes forget the significance of the atonement. Shai brings light to the fact that "God treated Christ as if he were a sinner. As if he had sinned every sin that every believer would ever sin. Even though he wasn't a sinner, in order that he might treat believers as though we lived the perfect life of the LORD Jesus Christ". I personally have been guilty of putting this truth to the side way too much. But thank God that through His Word, highlighted throughout this album, I have a reminder in music form that helps to build me up in my everyday walk. Thank God for brothers like shai. The ones who forsake conformity, for the sake of teaching the unadulterated truth. If you haven't pre-ordered, please do yourself a favor and do this. What's good peoples? It's a new year and I haven't updated this joint in like a month lol. Just getting back to the usual. Well for starters, 2007 was a great year. Another year God has allowed me to see and go through. Another year with my beautiful wife and daughter. 2007 was a crazy year for me as far as the music aspect goes too. Linked up with mad cats in the industry and outside the industry trying to push the message of Christ through hip-hop. 2007 was a year of hard work yo. Banging out the beats day in and day out, but that's what I love to do so it's all good. 2008 is a year of great promise on the music side of things. All my brothers will be dropping albums this year, starting off with my man Young Joshua. "Back to Reality" is going to be a breath of fresh air in hip-hop music. In the spring, E-pistle will be dropping his debut album as well entitled "His-Hop". So far he's just grinding as far as finishing up his recording. Next up is the big homey R-Swift, dropping early summer with "Soapbox". So far, it's been crazy being able to co-labor with my brother. This is going to be an awesome drop for the year. Look out for some new material from Ackdavis this year as well. He's grinding it out between school, relationships and music. keep him lifted. As far as me, I'm staying in the grind mode as well. Working with a lot of artists this year which I really don't feel like listing lol. Keep checking in for updates every week. God bless yo!
